WashBasis is designed with an uncompromising privacy-first architecture. All trade simulations, lot dates, share quantities, prices, cost bases, and wash sale calculations are performed strictly client-side within your web browser using JavaScript.
🛡️ Zero Data Retention: WashBasis never transmits, uploads, logs, or stores your financial transactions, portfolio balances, broker statements, or tax identification numbers on external servers.
2. Local Storage & Browser Caching
WashBasis utilizes standard HTML5 LocalStorage and Service Worker caching strictly to enhance your local user experience, including:
- Saving your UI preferences (e.g. active color themes and calculation presets).
- Storing optional offline Progressive Web App (PWA) cache files so the calculator functions without an active internet connection.
You can clear this local data at any time through your browser's history or cookie settings.
3. Google AdSense & Third-Party Advertising
We use Google AdSense and third-party advertising companies to serve advertisements when you visit our website.
